Shao Kahn is the Emperor of Outworld he plans on conquering the other realms, this can only be achieved if his warriors win ten straight victories in Mortal Kombat. After Edenia lost ten tournaments Kahn and his Tarkatan armies entered the realm and turned it into a wasteland. When he was in complete control of Edenia he took Queen Sindel as his wife, he loved her but she returned his love with hate. Fearing that Princess Kitana would grow to hate him he asked his sorcerer Shang Tsung to create another in her likeness. After Sindel took her own life he raised Kitana and Mileena together, training them to be assassins.
