Baraka is the leader of the Tarkatan armies in Outworld. After the realm of Edenia lost ten Mortal Kombat tournaments, Baraka led the Tarkatan hordes in to realm and killed anyone they came across. Baraka also killed King Jerrods decoy who was helping Queen Sindel and the infant Princess Kitana escape, allowing the Emporor Shao Khan to capture the Queen and take her as his wife.
